WE’RE HIRING
Administrator – Newry Chamber Music
20 hours per week | £1,600 per month | Newry
Newry Chamber Music is seeking an organised, proactive and enthusiastic Administrator to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of our growing programme of concerts, festivals, education and community activity.
Home to The Fews Ensemble, Newry Chamber Music is a registered charity presenting outstanding musicians in Newry and the surrounding area, with frequent performances at venues throughout the island of Ireland. Alongside our main concert season, our work encompasses education and outreach, rural and community engagement, masterclasses, family events, schools projects and activity at our NCM Hub at The Quays.
The Role
Working closely with the Artistic Director, the Administrator will help coordinate the day-to-day delivery of Newry Chamber Music’s programme.
- concert and event administration; artist, venue and partner liaison;
- coordinating travel, schedules and practical arrangements;
- box office, ticketing and audience administration;
- maintaining the NCM website and online event information;
- administrative support for social media and communications;
- coordinating programme, artist and publicity materials;
- assisting with funding applications, monitoring and funder reports;
- maintaining project, financial and organisational records;
- administration of activity at the NCM Hub; and supporting concert and event delivery.
- All other duties reasonably commensurate with the job title.
NCM already has dedicated support for social media, Mailchimp and graphic design. The Administrator will work alongside this support, coordinating information, content and deadlines rather than carrying sole responsibility for NCM’s marketing.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate, personable and able to use their own initiative. You should be comfortable managing several deadlines at once and communicating professionally with artists, venues, funders, audiences and project partners.
Strong administrative and digital skills are essential. Experience in arts administration, events, funding, charities or the cultural sector would be particularly welcome, although we are interested in candidates with transferable experience from other sectors. An interest in music and the arts and enthusiasm for the work of Newry Chamber Music are important.
