NCM were delighted to introduce the Fews Ensemble to our local audience back in November 2016. Ireland’s newest classical music group and Newry and Mourne’s first professional music ensemble in residence, The Fews ensemble is made up of the highest calibre musicians from both Ireland and the UK.

For this concert, the ensemble presents chamber versions of music originally scored for full orchestra. From the sweeping, luscious sounds of Richard Strauss’s Till Eulenspieigel, the charm and elegance of Mozart’s 12th piano concerto to the unmistakable sound world of Brahms in his Serenade No.1, this concert offers a rare opportunity to hear orchestral masterpieces in an intimate and unique way.
